Sadio Mane ‘paid for life-saving treatment for a boy while the Liverpool star himself was hospitalized with a concussion’

AFCON winner Sadio Mane is said to have paid for a boy’s life-saving treatment during his own hospital stay last month.
The Liverpool star suffered a concussion after being knocked unconscious in Senegal’s quarter-final win over Cape Verde.
Mane was taken to hospital in Bafoussam, western Cameroon, to recover after the match.
And Seneweb claims that during his stay, selfless Mane made an incredible gesture to a distraught family.
Their child had suffered terrible injuries after being run over by a motorbike and the family could not afford treatment.
Mane caught wind of the news while in hospital bed, and the striker gave them 400,000 CFA francs – more than £500 – to help care for the boy.
Seneweb quoted a guest from the Cameroonian channel Equinoxetv as saying: “I think I told you about the generous gesture that Sadio Mane made in Bafoussam in favor of a family.
“The latter was in distress because a motorcycle had hit their child who had broken bones and injuries all over his body.
“He was close to death and his parents could not afford the treatment.
“And Sadio, who was in that hospital, finds that grieving family and asks them what’s going on.
“We explained the situation to him and he gave them 400,000 FCFA (£514) which brought relief to this family.
“I believe that blessing has been rewarded today by God.”
After that heartwarming gesture, Mane led Senegal to the Afcon final before beating Mo Salah’s Egypt in a fierce penalty shootout.
But this isn’t the first time Mane has shown his kind side.
The superstar donated £500,000 last year towards the construction of a new hospital in his home town of Bambali.
He also funded a new £250,000 school in the village almost three years ago and has also distributed money to local families.
