Maryland brigadier credited with saving student
NORTHEAST, Md. (AP) — A Maryland police officer is credited with saving a college student from being hit by a car that hit her, officials said.
In the video, a school crossing guard is seen entering the crosswalk to stop traffic Friday morning while a North East Middle School student runs across the street on the crosswalk, WUSA reported.
A car is seen in the video approaching the crosswalk, and when the school crossing guard realizes that the car does not stop in time, throws the student out of the way and is hit by the car itself. same. Hernberger said she spoke with the city’s mayor and they were working on commendations for Goodyear.
The driver of the car was cited for multiple traffic violations, including careless driving, the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office said.
